Today I thought I’d bring you a little inspiration with some beautiful flowers, whether it’s table decorations, bouquets or buttonholes I hope you’ll find something you like. Flowers were something that I wasn’t really ‘in’ to before I got married, I knew what I liked, and could just about remember what they were called but that was it, my Mum was a big inspiration when we were putting our flowers together. I really liked Peonies (there my fav’s) and I wanted plain white/cream with some lime green colour, you know those ones that look spiky!! But, what I hadn’t bargain for was that the flowers I wanted wouldn’t be available for my wedding….”What do you mean these flowers aren’t available all year round” I dear say that if you pay the earth you could get a supplier to source them for you.
So a few things to remember when choosing flowers
- Colour scheme (take in to account what all your maids and the boys will be wearing)
- Allergies- I had a friend who would have sneezed her way down the aisle with the wrong type of flower!
- Seasons-I’m not saying plan your wedding date around when your favourite flowers are in season….but its a thought.
Here’s a few bouquet ideas that I’ve been pinning on Pinterest
Keep an eye out for table centre/reception, floral hairbands and Buttonhole inspiration.
